The region's 1st Integrated Resort is here to take the world by storm and will be a destination that will add buzz to Singapore and play a meaningful role in the lives of Singaporeans all over.
Check out the full scale model of Marina Bay Sands!

The new downtown plan for Marina Bay, can you spot the almost completed Singapore Flyer?

Hehehe....my new look
As for my Pink NRIC, see you in 2 years. Now gonna get my 11B!
Take care everyone! Have a great week ahead! Cheers!

The Carousel at Scaborough Fair...

Went with my family to the new restaurant, Carousel in Royal Plaza on Scotts, let the pictures do the walking & talking

Interesting fact 1: Their glasses swirl to a ruby red color when in contact with any fluid
Interesting fact 2: They actually sell their glasses and cutlery sets in the shop, check out picture 2 for the table setup. Not that I needed any of it, but I think it would make a great addition to my new condo dining area...

Project management

You know the saying, whenever there are people, there are bound to be conflicts.

This article is about an event I worked on recently. Entitled the FBMAmazing Race...I think the name alone should pretty ring a bell as to what it is all about.
Well, there has been alot of debate about it recently, in fact the number of respondents is both a disappointment and embarrasment as a committee member. Now the question is, what are the possible reasons for the low response:

1) Members have had it with the fact that nothing has been going on
2) Lack of interest
3) Unsuccessful marketing campaign
4) Peer pressure....Again???

The above will be anyone's guess. But another worrying thing would be the renewal of membership. The financial year for the first batch of applicants is coming to an end...effectively, August/September. When the time comes, how many people will actually renew their membership? How many committee members will actually stay on? What's most important now is that we do our best to safeguard our reputation and do everything in our power to please our members. It really is not easy...in fact, if I must say, we started out on the wrong foot, wrong time and sometimes maybe wrong concept....

Just a brief background, the association effectively came into existence on September 2006, a time when many of us had just beginned our student internship programs, a heavy commitment indeed, not to mention that some of us were stationed overseas.
Now, the guys are headed on a quest to protect & defend the interests and economic prosperity of our island republic, while the girls ---> Degree...Career...some even headed overseas where the grass might be greener....That would leave less manpower for the people running the show.

Anyhow, here's what happened for the main event itself, let's start from Friday....one thing I believed in is welfare...having been promoted from a member to my current position. I thus ordered drinks and light snacks to be served as refreshments at the finishing point. However, after several deliberations, it was settled that mineral water be provided. What no one expected was the amount of water. By right, only 60 bottles were needed...but due to some miscommunication, this was the result...

What you are looking at is the scene from my frontyard...wait a minute...we asked for 60 bottles, not a supply to feed the whole of Singapore...

Alright, transportation of these by 3 small sized individuals (Alan, Sherry & me) from the underground loading bay of Conrad Centennial Singapore to my house was a disaster...now check out how these boxes were transported to the starting point on Saturday

That's Sherry and Desmond at the bottom trying to collect the boxes before they hit ground...talk about setting up your own production line...

The town crier reads the proclamation, "Hear ye, hear ye good citizens....Friends, Romans, Countrymen...lend me your ears....I come to share with you this event not promote it....
By the way, what's Alan doing at the side? Hmm...

We are family...all your brothers, sisters and ME!

Alex wrecking his brain to find the matching card...this is my station...where I...the evil croupier challenges poor innocent victims to a game of Casino de Chinois....

Despite the stifling heat...this team is still all smiles... =)

The Finishing point....a sigh of relief crossed me, no doubt I'm not a participant, but I certainly felt good to have seen through this project without losing my cool. Eventually, I learnt that it is better to just let little things go. For he who is at peace with himself will also be at peace with the world. You know, that's how some high flyers end up hospitalized, when you think to much and refuse to let go...

Back!

Well....once again bloggin....back from a short retreat to KL with the family....this post will be mainly pictures....

Below are those taken from my grandparents newest condominium....Northpoint, just next to the biggest shopping bonanza in KL ---> Mid Valley Megamall

This is my own bedroom....a home away from home indeed....quite reminiscent of Hyatt Hotel King Park Room in Ho Chi Minh City....for convenience of our old folks....we bought the show flat....so everything is pretty much in it...

This is the view from the living room window....stupid construction....urban disgrace...

The Living Room!

The rest of the shots are from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

Do you know that the ranking now stands as such:

1) Narita International

2) Hong Kong International Airport

3) Kuala Lumpur International Airport

4) Changi International Airport

Came across this rather queer looking clock
