The Order of the Phoenix
Feels like some kind of dejavu....booking in and out of camp on weekends, no doubt its just 1 night at home, it feels like I've been out for some time. Maybe something to do with the flow of time...So many mixed emotions inside me, I do not know what to do....To be honest, I did consider being a regular in the Singapore Armed Forces during my secondary school days, that ambition has long been a thing of the pass...Than again...ambition to be an officer during National Service is another thing...or should I just declare for a downgrade and take up something more geared towards my talents like administration or Music & Drama? There are things I just hate!!!
Watched Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix yesterday...Felt alot like the students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. For Harry Potter fans, if you realize, Hogwarts gets a new Defense aganist the The Dark Arts professor every year...from a possessed coward, a celebrity, a werewolf and a madman with a glass eye...rumors even state that the post is cursed...
As we had it, the new professor sweet pinky Dolores Umbridge who looks like a harmless lady but makes students use a special quill to write and in the process painfully engraving the written character on the back of their hand...apart from that implementing certain educational decrees limiting Dumbledore's authority and increasing her own influence...a totalitarian regime is imposed...it really feels that way, the transition from a civilian life to a military one.
Than again, this story is alot darker, more frightening with the return of Voldemort, the Dementors, Death Eaters and the edgy parts, in short it shows a maturity of thought which makes the film cool.
